As the school year gets under way, students on the football teams at Boerne and La Vernia high schools are learning a hard lesson about life.

On Friday, as the two teams scrimmaged in Boerne, crooks broke into the locker rooms and made off with all of the team members' electronic possessions.

All of the players' iPods, iPads and iPhones, plus other electronic devices, were missing from the lockers.

Nicholas Simpson, a linebacker for La Vernia, lost his iPod that night.

"When we came back, one of my friends noticed his backpack was gone. And I checked my stuff and I noticed that my iPhone and iPad were gone," Simpson siad.

The girls' Volleyball team from Boerne also was targeted. The phones have not been tracked using GPS.

Police in Boerne are investigating the case. So far, there have been no arrests.
