George Strait will bring his superstar tour to an end with a performance at San Antonio's Alamodome this spring.
Strait made the announcement Friday at the opening festivities of the 28th Annual George Strait Team Roping Classic held at the San Antonio Rose Palace.
The performance, which is scheduled for May 1, will include appearances by tour mates Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack along with the Randy Rogers Band.
“I can’t wait to get back out there and perform some of my new favorites from Twang along with hits the fans already love,” says Strait. “And with my friend Reba, we will make it a really spectacular night.”
Earlier in the week, Strait announced that he will be back performing a full concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on April 28. It will be his first full concert since he broke the house record for most attendance back in 2004.
George Strait was named Artist of the Decade in 2009. He has the most number one singles of any artist in history, including Elvis.
Strait’s CD "Twang" debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart. It is the fourth time in his career that a new release has debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. His new release has also debuted at #1 on the Top Country Albums chart for the thirteenth time.
Start counting down the days. Tickets for the George Strait concert go on sale March 27 through Ticketmaster.
