Gas leak forces evacuation at Fort Sam Houston

SAN ANTONIO -- Seven buildings on the west side of Fort Sam Houston were evacuated on Thursday afternoon after a contractor struck a 2-inch gas line on Stanley Road.
Brent Boller, a spokesman for Joint Base San Antonio, said the buildings were evacuated around 1:30 p.m.
CPS Energy crews were able to repair the leak by 2:55 p.m.
