The former security guard arrested for beating up an elderly couple is now facing felony charges.
Police say 37-year-old Alan Wayne Hughes now faces a felony aggravated assault charge , following Saturday's arrest. His 83 and 82-year-old victims say they have known Hughes for the past 10 years. They say they got into an argument with him over a loan. That's when Hughes allegedly pepper sprayed them, tried to Taser the man, before hitting the woman in the back with a chair. The woman says he also took off with her billfold and used her credit card. Hughes is being held in the Bexar County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
