Facebook Feedback: Fireball sighting sparks laughable theories

SAN ANTONIO -- Phones started ringing off the hook inside the KENS 5 newsroom on Monday around 11:50 p.m. All of the callers, from as far as Kerrville to Austin, reported hearing a rumble and seeing a fireball streak across the southeast sky.
It all lasted about four seconds -- not enough time for our quick-draw witnesses to whip out their cellphones and capture the phenomenon on camera. But where physical evidence lacks, speculation is abundant.
Sure, it was probably a meteorite or some space trash burning off in the atmosphere, but what fun is that? Our Facebook viewers couldn't provide photos, but did provide these unlikely theories. Here are our 10 favorite...
