Police in Universal City are looking into a rash of burglaries.

Universal City police say a group of very organized thieves are targeting local businesses and stealing valuable computers.

They say they have few leads, but in just one month the thieves have hit seven businesses and a church.

The crimes are happening over the weekend and at night in the North Lake Industrial Park area, off Universal City Blvd. and Kitty Hawk.

In one piece of surveillance video police can see the getaway SUV,  but it's dark and detectives were unable to get a license plate number.

Investigators say the suspect in that caper made off with a number of computers and a TV.

The crooks usually gain entrance to the building by breaking a window. Then they're in and out in about  seven minutes, say investigators.

They believe all eight crimes are connected.

"We believe that it's the same individuals involved. We believe it's someone that's familiar with not only our area here, but that particular business park and the businesses that are there," said Sgt. Steve Mihalski with the Universal City Police Department.

Police response time in the town of 19,000 is quick, but they could use your help in solving these crimes. If you have information on this investigation, call 210-658-5353.
