A collision near China Grove has left an elderly woman dead. Emergency crews were called out to the scene on Highway 87 and Beck Friday morning.
Investigators say a dump truck hit the woman, who was in her 70's, as she attempted to make a left turn. The woman was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center, but died a short time later.
The driver of the dump truck will not face charges.
