SAN ANTONIO -- A man was hospitalized late Saturday night after rolling his car on I-35 near Loop 353 on the city's southwest side, police say.

San Antonio police said the driver hit a retaining wall, over corrected his steering and flipped over a guardrail around 11:40 p.m.

The driver had to be extricated from his car and was then rushed to to University Hospital in unknown condition, police said.

Officers said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The driver's name was not immediately available, although police said he is in his late 20s or early 30s.
