Two apartment fires overnight displaced dozens of people.
Fire crews were called to the 1100 block of Patricia around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Flames were shooting through the roof of the three-story apartment building.
The fire was quickly put out, and damage was contained to one apartment uni.
About 20 people were evacuated. They were receiving help from the Red Cross and apartment management.
There was no word on what caused the fire.
About an hour later, firefighters were called to another apartment fire, this time in the 4800 block of Ray Bon.
Officials said this fire started in one unit of a four-plex, then moved to the apartment behind it.
Two other attached units received some damage.
Everyone was able to escape safely. The cause in this fire also was undetermined.
