SEGUIN -- Dive crews have recovered the body of a man who went missing on Sunday afternoon while swimming and tubing with family on the Guadalupe River.
Authorities identified the deceased as Rogelio Rodriguez. He was 34.
The victim's body was recovered around 9 a.m Monday near the FM 1117 bridge, not far from where he went missing, according to the Seguin Fire Department.
The victim went missing while trying to rescue family members who had become stuck in an eddy around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Firefighters said they responded to a 911 call and pulled five people, including a pregnant woman, from the river. Rodriguez, however, was nowhere to be found.
Dive crews searched the river on Sunday night but had to stop when it became too dark. The search resumed Monday morning.
