SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters say a lit cigarette and candle are responsible for sparking an apartment blaze early Saturday morning.
The fire started just before 3 a.m. inside an apartment in the 3900 block of Thousand Oaks — near the intersection of Wetmore Road.
San Antonio firefighters said they were able to stop the flames from spreading to the attic, however, the apartment is considered a complete loss.
The woman living inside the apartment was able to get out safely, firefighters said.
