SAN ANTONIO — Churchill Estates uses a private security guard company to patrol its neighborhoods, now they're hiring real officers who can take action on the spot.

Seven residents reported burglaries during the first two weeks of October. The thieves are busting down front doors and getting away with electronics.

Police say the burglaries are happening between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Homes along Adios, Iron Liege, Sir Barton, Triple Crown Lane and Typhoon have been hit.

Neighbors have been given a general description of two men in their 30s. One of the suspects has a number of visible tattoos. The men are believed to be driving a blue pickup truck.

Neighbors said they have been seen knocking on doors, perhaps to determine who's home and who's not home.

The neighborhood association is working with the Bexar County Precinct 3 Constable's Office, which will conduct random patrols.
