The owner of a San Antonio Mexican food restaurant has quite a mess to clean up after a driver crashed into the building.
Officers say just before 3 p.m. Saturday the driver lost control while trying to turn onto French Street from Fredericksburg Road.
The resulting crash left a huge hole in the wall of the Martinez Barbacoa and Tamales restaurant in the 700 block of Fredericksburg Road.
No one was inside the restaurant was hurt. The driver, who authorities say was in his 50s, was taken to University Hospital as a precaution.
Police say there was a passenger in the car at the time of the crash, but that person fled the scene.
