SAPD Arson is investigating a car fire that destroyed a garage and part of a neighbor's home in the 400 block of Linares.
A boy told firefighters he heard a loud pop coming from the garage at around 11:15 Saturday morning. He said a neighbor told him the garage was fully engulfed in flames.
The fire then spread to another home, damaging a bedroom there.
No one was injured in the fire, but damages are estimated to be about $40,000.
