NEW BRAUNFELS -- The wait is over for the newest location of what some frequenters call 'the greatest gas station ever'.
On Monday, the 26th Buc-ee's opened in New Braunfels with the size and the sweets to challenge any rivals to that claim.
Boasting 30 gas pumps, 900 parking spaces and 68,000 square feet, the new Buc-ee's is the largest one yet.
"This is a nice facility. The pavilion out here is huge, plenty of room for an RV and a tow car," Mel Moss said, as he filled up his RV's 80 -gallon tank.
Inside the Buc-ee's, visitors are given boundless options. Things like walls of drinks, jerky, novelty gifts, and even some brisket.
General Manger John Taylor said it's the trademark Buc-ee's beaver that brings them in.
Don't believe Taylor? Ask Alejandro Gomez who drove 50 miles just to see the new Buc-ee's.
The new location promises to not only stimulate stomachs, but is hoping to stimulate the local economy by adding 250 jobs to the area. As summer nears, even more jobs could be created.
