BOERNE -- Mayor Mike Schultz cut the ribbon to a brand new stretch of park for Boerne residents -- and critters -- to enjoy.
Voters approved the $750,000 face lift to River City Park in 2007. On Friday, residents got a first look at the five miles of hiking trails, fishing piers and the city's first piece of permanent public art.
The artwork commemorates a gander duck that died while protecting its family.
