Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed and other county leaders are getting ready to kick off a campaign against illegal dumping.
The initiative, which has been dubbed Operation Clean Sweep, will focus on the city's northeast side, specifically the Camelot II, Windsor Oaks, and Glen neighborhoods.
Reed said the county will start by issuing fines. First time offenders will have to pay fines of up to $200, and repeat offenders could face jail time or even property recalls.
The operation is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.
