SAN ANTONIO -- A 7-month-old boy was found dead in his play pen Monday morning.
Jaden Contreras may have accidentally suffocated. His parents said he had been sick, and his father had wrapped him in a few blankets just hours before he was found lifeless at 9 a.m. Monday.
The family of six was living in a garage in the 4000 block of Sun Harbour in northeast San Antonio.
The couple said they had tried to get into a few homeless shelters but either were rejected for not being married or were placed on a waiting list.
Three other children in the situation are staying with a family member. An autopsy is pending to determine the baby's exact cause of death.
