SCHERTZ -- Authorities have identified the two good Samaritans who were hit and killed by a tanker truck that barreled into the scene of an accident early Monday morning.
Schertz spokesman Brad Bailey said Hector Cordoba and Emma Alcudia were both killed while trying to help victims involved in a wrong-way crash on I-35 South.
Corboda, a bus driver from Laredo, had stopped his bus on the side of the road to get out and help; Alcudia ran to the accident from the nearby rest stop, where she works.
The wrong-way driver who caused the initial wreck was also killed.
