Maybe a team of crooks just needed a nicotine fix. Or maybe, police say, they plan to sell a bundle of stolen cigarettes on the black market.

According to police, two Hispanic men used baseball bats to batter their way early Thursday morning into two Valeros and a CVS Pharmacy to steal cigarettes. The most seriously hit was a Valero on Pecan Valley and Southcross. That was just after 2:30 a.m.

Police say say 10 minutes earlier, the same men tried the same thing at this Valero in 1600 block of Goliad.

Their first stop was at a CVS in the 900 block of Bandera Road just after 1 a.m.

So far, no arrests have been made
