KENS 5 teams up with Children's Health Awareness 5K walk/run

The run took place at Arnold Park and supported healthy living, especially for children.

On Saturday, Paul Mireles and Karen Grace laced up their shoes and joined hundreds of families at Arnold Park for the annual Children's Health Awareness 5K walk/run.

Paul emceed the event and encouraged runners at the start line. There were also volunteers on hand to perform free health screenings.

Superheroes and the Army band also entertained the crowd.

The goal of the walk was to help fight against childhood obesity and teach families how to maintain a fit lifestyle.
