The U.S. Supreme Court voted to uphold President Obama's Affordable Care Act Thursday morning. The decision was met with celebrations as well as much opposition.
The justices approved the health-care law five to four, in a ruling that affects every American.
A local group called American Doctors for Truth spearheaded a national campaign against the health-care reform, and shared their reaction to the Supreme Court's decision.
"Even if you love 'Obamacare'...we can't afford it," says Dr. Jane Hughes. "As a country, I think the impact from a standpoint of physical issues is going to be disastrous."
It's believed the court's ruling will not only affect the future of health care, but also President Obama's administration.
The president made passing the reform his top priority, but when Congress approved it in 2010, it was without a single Republican vote.
Now, groups like American Doctors for Truth say they plan on throwing their support towards a political reform.
Twenty-six states challenged the law, arguing that Congress had over-stepped its constitutional authority.
However Democrats celebrated passage of the bill as a major triumph for social justice.
