The Baptist Health System is receiving accolades for their outstanding care of stroke patients.
The American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association's Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award went to the Baptist in recognition of their commitment to patient care.

Experts say treatment of a stork starts with recognizing the signs.
"If they have weakness of their face, difficulty with their arms, difficulty with speech, they need to call 911." said Dr. Dicky Huey with the BHS.
According to experts, suffering a stoke is one of the leading causes of death and serious long-term disability in the U.S.
