Titanic director James Cameron is back...hoping to be the 'King of the World' once again. His sci-fi epic 'Avatar' opens in theatres this weekend.

Avatar tells audiences they'll 'enter a whole new world.'

The world of director James Cameron .

The Academy award winning director of Titanic worked with a gigantic $300 million budget.

It's the tale of a private army that's trying to ravage the lush, tropical planet of Pandora. All in 3D.

Australian actor Sam Worthington admits working with the notoriously hard-driven Cameron came as a challenge.

"It's because he demands an excellence. He raises the bar but he gives you the courage to jump over it," said Worthington.

Not everyone's a fan of the movie. The familiar plot and Cameron's blue creations have earned the film nicknames like 'Dances with Smurfs' and Smurfa-Hontas.'

But lead actress Zoe Saldana says she liked the ten-foot-tall blue version of her.

"She was just so beautiful. She looks so much like me. It was like oh my God, it's as if I would have woken up every day at two o'clock in the morning and gone through the makeup process," Saldana marveled.

She may become more famous for her blue face if James Cameron's dream is a box office smash.

There's already talk of a sequel.
