SAN ANTONIO – Belo, the company that owns KENS 5, announced that it wiIl host a live televised debate featuring Texas’ Republican U.S. Senate candidates.
Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and former ESPN analyst Craig James have all accepted invitations to take part.
Besides airing on KENS 5, the debate will be seen on Belo stations in Dallas, Houston and Austin, plus selected other radio and TV stations statewide.
KENS 5 news anchor Sarah Forgany will be among the panel of journalists questioning the candidates.
The debate is scheduled for Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m.
