SAPD accuses woman of reselling $250,000 in stolen merchandise

Woman accused of reselling stolen clothing

A long investigation led to a big bust at the Trader’s Village swap meet in southwest San Antonio.

Police say a woman was knowingly buying clothing stolen from local department stores and reselling it at her shop.

The woman denied any wrongdoing, saying she has receipts for everything. But police say they recovered at least $250,000 in stolen merchandise.

The woman accused of the crime owns another store in Fredericksburg, where the investigation started about 14 months ago.

She’s charged with organized retail theft.
