San Antonio child found safe after Amber Alert issued

Warrant issued for child sex suspect

An Amber Alert was issued on Saturday morning for a 14-month-old San Antonio girl.

The Texas Department of Public Safety was able to locate her in Dallas later that day.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the man who had her, 50-year-old Fortino Cornejo, fled from authorities after they located him with the girl.

A warrant was issued for Cornejo for sexual exploitation of a child.

The 14-month-old victim had reportedly not been seen since Wednesday.

Cornejo also reportedly sent a picture to the child's family indicating the toddler may have been sexually assaulted.

The latest vehicle description law enforcement released is that Cornejo is in a black 2010 Dodge Nitro.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you are asked to call police immediately.
