Police catch suspects in jewelry heist

SAPD arrest would-be burglars

SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio police caught three suspects trying to pull off a jewelry heist in the 13300 block of Nacogdoches Road.

A burglar alarm reportedly sent the San Antonio Police Department to the address around 5 a.m. Friday.

Three suspects stole a vehicle and tried to steal a motorcycle from an active member of the military in the Stone Oak area, according to police.

Police said two men and one woman were involved. The men climbed through a store next to the Gold and Silver Exchange.

The suspects reportedly made it out of the jewelry store, but were caught trying to escape through the neighboring store.

KENS 5's crew at the scene reported a military major's vehicle was the one stolen during this incident.

This is a developing story, and Kens5.com will continue to provide updates as they become available.
