UPDATE | No missing children in alleged carjacking; 'victim' gave false name too

Despite earlier reports from the San Antonio Police Department, no children were taken during an alleged carjacking early Tuesday morning in far east San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO - Despite earlier reports from the San Antonio Police Department, no children were taken during an alleged carjacking early Tuesday morning in far east San Antonio.

The report comes after speculation from SAPD when the woman's story reportedly changed and evolved constantly.

PREVIOUS REPORT: Police release names of missing San Antonio sisters

As details were developing, police released the names of two girls, in hopes of finding them quickly, said SAPD PIO Jesse Salame.

In addition, the name provided by the woman giving the report was a false name, said Salame.

The case and the details surrounding the incident were still under investigation. There was no update on charges or arrests and no additional information was available at the time of this report.
