Man with suspect during SAPD shooting ID'd, arrested on separate charges

The man has been identified as 30-year-old William Lawson, who's now been arrested on separate charges. Meanwhile, more of shooting suspect Andrew Bice's arrest record from Louisiana has been revealed.

The San Antonio Police Department has identified the man that was with Andrew Bice during the shooting that killed Officer Miguel Moreno and wounded Officer Julio Cavazos.

The man has been identified as 30-year-old William Lawson, who's now been arrested on separate charges.

Chief William McManus provided an update to the investigation on Saturday after the arrest was announced. He said that Lawson is being charged with felony possession of a firearm and a felony narcotics charge after a stop in which police discovered that he was carrying a gun and heroin.

Chief McManus also called Lawson a "pathological liar" and that they don't know if the information Lawson has provided them is true. As a result, McManus couldn't confirm any details about him or Bice that have been reported outside of the department.
