Local bodyguard & diamond expert weigh in on Kardashian robbery

Kim Kardashian robbed at gunpoint

Jimmy Green says it was less than smart for Kim Kardashian West to rock $10 million in diamonds, even in Paris.

“Do I recommend wearing 25 white diamonds and 20 on your hand? She felt safe and secure where she was with palace and guard. Personally, I think it had to be an inside job," said Green, who owns J Green's Jewelers in Stone Oak.

Paris police are hunting for five armed robbers who reportedly were wearing police uniforms when they forced their way into a private Paris residence where Kim Kardashian West was staying, tied her up, and locked her in a bathroom.

Her husband, Kanye West, left in the middle of a New York performance when he got the news.

The suspects stole a jewelry box worth $7 million and a ring worth $4.5 million.

Kardashian West has a habit of showing her jewels and whereabouts on social media.

Local bodyguard Eddie Flinn's day job often includes protecting celebrities when they are in San Antonio. He works for the local private security company called Bexar County Protective Services.

“It’s a real black eye for their security team big time,” he said.

The French prosecutor's office says that Kardashian West's bodyguard was not present.

"I think her security team is going to be fired,” Flinn said. “I wouldn't even know what $10 million in jewelry looks like."
