One dead, one critical after fight breaks out at youth sports complex

A disturbance at a youth sports complex on the southeast side leaves one dead and another in critical condition. 

Multiple San Antonio Police units were called to the scene near South Side Lions Park around 8 o'clock Monday evening after reports of a shooting. 

Police say a fight broke out in the parking lot during a youth football game. The ex-boyfriend of a woman attacked her new boyfriend with a knife, stabbing him in the neck. 

The friend of the current boyfriend pulled out a gun and shot the attacker numerous times, police say. The victim died before units could arrive.

The shooter then got into a car and fled the scene. Police are currently searching for the shooter. 

Police have identified the shooting victim, as Michael Isaac Williams. The 37-year-old was attending his nine-year-old son's youth football game. The stabbing victim is currently in critical condition.
