BCSO detention officer arrested for DWI

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Michael Magana, who works as a detention officer at the Bexar County Jail, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and has since been released on bond.

Magana was reportedly arrested on Thursday morning by the San Antonio Police Department.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar says that his office has begun administrative procedures to address the matter and that, for now, Magana will be working under restrictions and not his regular assignment.
