SAN ANTONIO -- On Sunday morning, as worship services were about to get underway at the Sold Out Ministries on Cincinnati Avenue, two guitar players noticed some of their gear was missing.
"We discovered that the Jackson Guitar and the Fender were gone at about 8:45, 9 o'clock right before service," Colton Ramirez said.
The two guitars were valued at roughly $900.
The band played on without them, but the missing guitars comes at an inconvenient time for the band. They are slated to play Friday at the AT&T Center during a Silver Stars game.
Music Director Melissa Camacho is rather tranquil about it all.
Whether these guitars get returned or not, we are going to get something. It's not the end of the world,” Camacho said.
Still, the feeling of having instruments taken is familiar to Camacho. Her guitar was stolen about six months ago.
"I feel sorry for them" she said about the alleged thieves. "God pays back for taking from the church."
The church has filed police reports but nothing has come of it yet.
Anyone with more information is encouraged to contact the San Antonio Police Department.
