An adult store and tobacco store each were raided by Comal County deputies for allegedly selling synthetic marijuana.

The "new items" in an erotic retailer off I-35 raised the eyebrows of deputies in New Braunfels. But it wasn't lingerie or sex toys, but what they say was synthetic marijuana that had detectives going under cover.

Deputies said they seized 400 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the Zone de Erotica, a retail business in the 8900 block of I-35 North.

Officers said they also executed a search warrant at the Tobacco Novelty Store in the 600 block of Creek Drive.

Two males at that business were arrested. Ashraf Khan and Syed Shah are facing first-degree felony charges.
