A San Antonio man is in police custody, charged with aggravated assault.
According to authorities, John David Samarripas got into an argument over a misplaced gun at a house in the 300 block of Cortez Street.
He allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the woman he was arguing with.
Another person in the house grabbed a 22-caliber gun and shot Samarripas in the hip, police say.
Samarripas was treated at University Hospital and then he was taken into custody. He is being held on a $75,000 bond.
