SAN ANTONIO -- Bexar County deputies say a 20-year-old man stabbed his young brother to get back at his mom, who had kicked him out of the house for refusing to get a job, police say.
Milton Harris Jr. is accused of stabbing his 11-year-old brother at their home in the 8000 block of Copper Trail late Sunday night.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Harris entered his brother's room, grabbed him and tried to cut his throat with a knife.
The young victim yelled for help from another brother in the house, deputies said. The suspect allegedly tried to stab that brother, too. A struggle ensued and eventually the brothers wound up fighting outside the home.
The suspect fled after neighbor called the police.
The 11-year-old victim was taken to University Hospital.
The suspect's mother told deputies he was upset because she had kicked him out of the house because he refused to get a job or go to school.
Harris was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held at the Bexar County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
