San Antonio police were investigating a gruesome discovery on the south side early Tuesday morning after a body was found.
The discovery was made after 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Polyanna Apartments in the 200 block of West Dickson on the south side.
Neighbors told police they heard shots fired. Police found a man's body slumped in the driver's side seat of a blue and white pickup truck.
Authorities said a man taking out his trash found he body and a witness told them of two suspicious vehicles that were seen near the truck where the body was found.
The witness said a white car and a red car took off right after the shots rang out.
Police are searched the area for cameras or surveillance video that might aid them with the investigation.
