San Antonio police say a man is in custody accused of turning a northwest-side home into a high-tech marijuana-grow operation.

Investigators raided a home in the 10000 block of Dancing Brook near Loop 1604 and Braun Road Thursday night and found a sophisticated marijuana operation.
Police say the operation was so massive and sophisticated the suspect is facing federal charges.
Every room of house was used for growing hydroponic marijuana, according to police. They say the rooms had special ventilation systems and lighting mechanisms.
Neighbors in the Silverbrook subdivision say a man moved in six months ago, but was seldom there.
Police say rent houses used for this purpose create a dangerous situation.
In some cases the grower pirates electricity to run the operation creating a fire hazard.
“This definitely had potential of going up in flames. I’m really glad we got this out of the neighborhood,” said Sgt. Javier Salazar, spokesperson for the San Antonio Police Department.
Police say the investigation is on-going and more arrests could follow.
