Bexar Co. - Guns, fake cash, and drugs. All found in a home belonging to a man investigators said had been in their radar. He's now behind bars.
In the town of St. Hedwig across the street from the Golla family what they had suspected all along unfolded before their eyes.
"Pretty crazy actually," said Justin Golla, neighbor.
"(We found) about 10 guns at least one of the guns had the serial number obliterated," said Sgt. Alfred Damiano, with the Bexar Co. Sheriff's Office.
Not only that but a lot of ammo, two ounces of Hydrocodone pills, three ounces of meth, fake bills and even a bullet proof vest.
"I kinda guessed that was going on," said Golla.
Investigators said 28 year old Jonathan Wright, his wife 30 year old Kristen and their children were living in this home on the 400 block of Mihalski.
Several agencies with SAPD and Bexar Co. moved in on a tip about a stolen lawn mover. They found much more. Wright is no stranger to the law and officers had him on their radar for quite some time.
"We feel kind of fortunate that we're gonna be able to put him away for quite a while," said Sgt. Damiani.
His wife is also facing charges but both are keeping quiet. As for neighbors who had a hunch something was up they said it doesn't surprise them one bit.
"They had been building all kinds of stuff had nice vehicles," said Golla. "It's pretty dangerous but its just shows that even out in the country it can happen anywhere."
