SAN ANTONIO - He was stabbed 30 times, and the killer is still walking our streets. Seven years later, a mother's desperate search to find her son's murderer continues.

"My child deserves justice. Just like everybody else's child," said Carrie M. Jackson whose son, Chris, was murdered July 30, 2010.

Since that day, Jackson has worked tirelessly to find her son's killer.

"They said my child had 29 or 30 stabbings on him," Jackson recalled. "His chest, his throat, all over his head, his stomach."

Around 1 p.m. on July 30, 2010, a woman told police that Chris Jackson knocked on her door at the Sands Motel on the 1000 block of Austin Highway. She called 911 and said that he was covered in blood.

Jackson says that Chris was waiting inside a room at the motel to pick up his daughter.

"Whoever did this, you're gonna have to pay for it through Christ Jesus," Jackson said. "Not through me, but through Jesus."

Chris Jackson, 36, was a local auto mechanic. He also started the music business Bow Down Productions and Promotions.

Jackson describes her son as a giving person who always recruited friends to church.

For the last seven years, through the sleepless nights and bus rides to police headquarters, Jackson is left wondering who is behind her son's murder and why that person left him to die.

"I told [Chris] I want him to rest in peace, and I'm trying to rest in peace, but I can't if the killer is still out there," Jackson said.

If you have any information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP. You will remain anonymous.
