SAN ANTONIO -- Lisa St. Claire wants to pay her roofer the $4000 he earned, but the problem is her insurance company made the check out to Lisa and her husband and now Wells Fargo won't endorse it.

The trouble began when the St. Claire's fell behind on their mortgage.

The St. Claire's put their home up for sale and Wells Fargo agreed to a short sale, forgiving roughly $40,000. One of the conditions of the sale was a new roof had to be put on. The St. Claire's hired Kirk Roofing to do the job.

Kirk finished the job on February 7 and thought he would be paid. Lisa St. Claire headed to the bank to cash the $4022.21 check but when she got there she found Wells Fargo also had to endorse it. St. Claire says she has jumped through more hoops than a circus dog trying to get the check endorsed.

After filling out form after form, St. Claire called us. We put one call into Wells Fargo and the next day they called Lisa St. Claire and agreed to endorse the check. Mr. Kirk now has the long overdue money.
