A northeast side family says they're being left in the cold when it comes to their refrigerator . Angela Vargas had a repair company work on the refrigerator several times, but 6 weeks later it's still not cooling.
Vargas called All Appliance Repair, which replaced a fan motor…for $226. But when she had the technician take a look at the ice maker, sparks jumped out of the freezer. The tech told her it would take another $200 plus, to fix it. At the time Vargas wasn't working so she told the guy forget it.
After roughly 6 weeks and numerous calls, she says she couldn't get anyone to return her calls. We contacted the owner of, Wally Burton who said Vargas wasn't honest with him or us. Burton says someone had tapped into the refrigerator's freon line and did it incorrectly. he says that caused the unit's compressor to fail, which is outside of the work his technician did on the Vargas refrigerator.
He says his company bends over backwards to work with his clients but feels, what he sees as vargas' dishonesty with him, the best thing would be for him to refund her every penny she gave him. Leaving Vargas to hire someone else or buy a new refrigerator.
