As their homes and lives have teetered in uncertain territory, Hills of Rivermist homeowners living in temporary hotel rooms are getting a glimpse of the future.

Pulte-Centex Homes is finally budging and giving what most of them want: A way out.

It has been weeks since a retaining wall failure left the subdivision's residents questioning the safety of their homes. They rallied Wednesday to explain their demands.

Pulte-Centex says the new wall will cost anywhere from $4 million to $5 million to build, and construction will take about 6 months
