Kent Turner says he wears, at least slacks, a dress shirt and tie to work every day. The problem is he has a lot less to choose from today. Turner has been taking his clothes to the Snow White cleaners on Broadway for the past 6 years. About a week and a half ago he went to pick up his clothes and realized he had been taken to the cleaners. The lights were off, the doors were locked and there was a sign on the door that said to call about your clothes. Turner called Snow Whites headquarters and was told don't worry your clothes are at another store. When he got there they told him no, they were back at his original store and employees couldn't get in. Snow White's owner, Paul Mauricio had apparently fallen behind on the rent at that store and the property manager had changed the locks. Turner says Mauricio promised to call him...but he never did. Now Turner and dozens of other customers are caught, figuratively naked between a rock and a hard place. Turner says the property manager Stylianos Vickemas has told him, you'll get your clothes when I get my 5 months back-rent. Worse yet, there is nothing in the law to help customers get their clothes back. Mauricio issued a statement apologizing for the "inconvenience" to his customers and says he will return the clothes as soon as he works out his issues with Vickemas. Turner, like several others we spoke with say that's not good enough and if they don't get their property back, they will take legal action against Mauricio.
