Robert and Lupe Alvarado say their preparation for death has become taxing.
The couple bought funeral insurance policies several years ago. Lupe had been paying for both policies each month, with one check.
In March she realized there was a problem…North American Life Insurance of Texas had applied all the money to her policy, causing Robert’s to fall in the rears.
Despite sending numerous checks over the past few months to catch up, the Alvarados say they are still receiving notices showing they’re behind.
We called North American. After speaking with a customer service representative, they say it was a clerical error. Despite having both policy numbers on the checks, all of the money had in fact been applied to Lupe’s policy, but they have corrected the problem and the Alvarado’s don’t need to worry about losing their insurance.
Robert and Lupe say they can now… rest, in peace.
