Lupita Hernandez planned her daughter's quinceanera a year in advance. Two weeks ago she was talking to her sister about it. "Once I told her the address, she said are you sure because there's a fitness center now. And sure enough I called this individual and he said, Oh yeah, I moved," said Hernandez. The gym used to be 'Roseland Ballroom.' The owner, Rene Hernandez, said he fell six months behind on the rent and had to move. Lupita said Rene told her not to worry, that he would reserve her spot in his new hall. Lupita said Rene even brought her to the new location to show Lupita around. The problem is that Rene does not have a lease at the new place, either. The leasing company said they are not leasing to Rene. Following-up with Rene, he said he has a new ballroom opening up, but he refused to say where that new location is. Rene did say that he would give Lupita her $475 deposit back on Wednesday afternoon. They set up a time and a place, but Rene Hernandez was a no-show. Frustrated, Lupita said she will file charges. But she may have compnay. Lupita found ten other complaints online.
