Tim Duncan to honor woman who beat blood cancer at benefit dinner

The honorary dinner will not only recognize Amanda Ramirez and her fight against blood cancer, but will also raise money to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

SAN ANTONIO - Spurs legend Tim Duncan will be honoring on a San Antonio woman who has successfully beaten blood cancer.

The honorary dinner will not only recognize Amanda Ramirez and her fight against blood cancer, but will also raise money to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

For the past 10 weeks, Ramirez' friend Phil Kandera has been raising money in her honor through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man of the year campaign.

The dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $200 and includes: Dinner for one, unlimited soda, coffee and tea, two alcoholic beverages and a desert.
