Children in San Antonio hit the water for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson held on Thursday. The event is sponsored by San Antonio’s Parks and Recreation Department and it part of an international push to teach children to swim.

The lesson comes following a close call on the southeast side where a 3-year-old boy nearly drowned. He was revived by two East Central ISD police officers who stepped in to perform CPR.
