SAN ANTONIO - A fusion of Hispanic music and staple delicacies filled the air Sunday afternoon at the first-annual Cultural Festival "Hispanic Trails."

Hundreds of people attended the festival at the Wonderland of the Americas Mall to enjoy the rich culture of countries including Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and more. The event was hosted by the Hispanic Cultural Society of San Antonio.

Performers showcased cultural dances, booths displayed traditional artwork, and people lined up to enjoy Hispanic dishes. A woman from Panama said seeing her home country's traditions on display felt like home, but she was even more excited to experience other cultures with her family.

The event also offered community services including quick medical check-ups, vision screening, and more. Gerardo Ortiz took advantage of the medical services offered. He said he was grateful for the check-up because he can’t always afford to see a doctor.
